How can I book?
You can book online BOOK NOW
If you have a group booking request or any special considerations please either phone us on 01341 280262 or email info@hendremynach.co.uk with clear details and a contact phone number.
You can pop into reception during office open hours, which can be found on our website homepage.
We request a deposit at the time of booking and the balance of your payment 28 days prior to arrival.
Rally bookings can be arranged but we ask that the rally organiser arranges collection of deposits and booking details to be sent on to us.
The weather forecast is bad for the time I have booked. Can I cancel?
Please read the Terms & Conditions for your reservation and ensure that you understand what your cancellation policy is. In rare extreme weather warning scenarios requests for postponement or cancellation may be made to managers and may be upheld at their discretion.

What time can I arrive on site?
Arrival times depend on the unit you have booked:
Touring & camping: 12.30pm
Pods: 2pm
Static caravans: 4pm
Gwel yr Haul house: 4pm
The latest arrival times fluctuate throughout the year, this is mainly goverened by the darker nights
What time is check-out?
Departure times depend on the unit you have booked:
Touring & camping: 11am
Pods: 10.30am
Static caravans: 10.30am
Gwel yr Haul house: 10.30am
Is bedding supplied?
Bedding is supplied in the house and the static caravans. If you prefer to bring your own, please let us know at the time of booking.
We DO NOT supply cot bedding or any bedding in the pods or shepherd's huts. **If you are staying in the pods or shepherd's huts you will need to bring your own bedding**
Which supermarkets are available locally?
In Barmouth we have a medium sized Co-op and Iceland.
Porthmadog has Tesco, Lidl and Aldi (30 mins North).
Further afield in Pwllheli is ASDA, in Caernarfon is a Morrisons and in Menai Bridge there is a Waitrose.
M&S Food is in Bangor.
Tesco & ASDA will do online ordered delivery service to the site and Co-op will deliver if you have picked your own items instore. Please note that you must have arrived in order to accept a delivery as staff aren't always available to accept orders.
Barmouth itself has many independent shops, cafes and restaurants as well as pubs.
Where is the nearest pharmacy?
Rowlands Pharmacy in Barmouth is on the high street opposite The Factory Shop.
What is there to do in and around Barmouth?
Or pick up leaflets in reception when you're here. Our friendly staff have suggestions too, if you need advice.
How near is the beach?
Barmouth beach is 100m away, accessible by footpath from the site, over a pedestrian railway crossing (not used by traffic). The beach varies from vast sandy expanses to pebbles & lovely sand dunes.
You can walk along Barmouth promenade from the site right into town, and when the tide is in you can walk on the promenade. It takes 20-30 mins to walk.
During busy periods a land train runs from the centre of Barmouth prom to the end right opposite the site footpath.
Are dogs allowed on the site?
The maximum number of dogs is 2 per unit, (or more at management's discretion. Please check in advance) They must be kept on a lead whilst on site and all fouling cleared up immediately.
There are some great walks nearby and your dog will love Barmouth beach, with a huge zone available year-round for walkies.
How many dogs can I bring?
We allow a maximum of 2 dogs per unit. This is strict in our own units (Gwel yr Haul house, pods and shepherd's huts) but in your own caravan or tent we ask that you notify us of additional dogs. A fee applies for each dog.
How many cars can I bring?
We allow for one car per pitch. There is a fee for additional cars and we must have prior notification/agreement of how many. Some pitches can accommodate more than one vehicle and others cannot. You may be asked to park additional cars away from your pitch.
I have an electric vehicle (EV). Can I charge it on site?
We currently have one electric charge point for an EV. A fee is payable in Reception.
Is there a pub nearby?
There are pubs in Barmouth ranging from the foodie establishments to the lively bars offering entertainment during busy periods. The nearest pub is the Min-y-Mor, on Barmouth promenade (about a 10 minute walk away).
There is no bar on site as we are very much a families and couples site, and we do not allow excess noise at night. Our shop does have an off-licence.
Are fires allowed?
Open fires are not permitted. Small barbeques are allowed, using charcoal or similar fuel. If using disposable barbeques, please always use the bricks we provide to keep them off the grass, and ensure you have water handy to extinguish it (taps are located throughout the site).
Can I light Chinese lanterns?
No. Chinese lanterns are not allowed on the site.
Is there a locked gate at night?
No. We don't lock a gate or have a barrier so you can return to site late if you need to. Please be respectful of other guests and remember that we have a strict no-noise rule after 10pm.
I have booked an electric hook-up. What should I bring?
If you have booked electric hook-up please note that the appliances are limited to 10amps. Ordinary household kettles etc will trip the unit. You need to bring specialist camping appliances.
Please also bring your own mains hook-up cable.
Please observe all safety advice including rolling out cables fully to prevent overheating and fire risk.
I would like to reserve a specific pitch or area. May I?
Whilst our aim is to please all our customers, we do not have the capacity to honour all requests.
Please be prepared to be flexible and by all means let us know at the time of booking if you have a preferred area but bear in mind we can never guarantee a specific request. This is to allow for the smooth running of the site for all and to ensure we do not promise anything we cannot deliver in case of unexpected issues arising.
What does your shop stock?
Pretty much everything: fresh milk, bread, eggs, tinned food and cereals, sweets, water, soft drinks and alcohol, crisps, toys and souvenirs, dog food and paraphernalia, disposable bbqs, crab buckets, sunscreen, toiletries and some medicines, washing-up items, tea towels, beach towels, camping equipment and the list goes on!
Does the site shut for winter?
Hendre Mynach Caravan Park has a longer season than many sites. We stay open until 9 January and the new season starts 1 March.
Can I reserve a seasonal pitch?
Seasonal pitches are in high demand and we have a waiting list. Please contact us if you wish to be added to the list.
How much are showers?
Showers are free. You don't need a token and if one block is closed for cleaning the other is available for use.
Is WiFi available on site?
WiFi codes can be purchased at Reception during office open hours.
What is the site emergency number?
The on-duty warden has a mobile phone and is on-call overnight for EMERGENCIES ONLY. The number can be found on the paperwork you were given on arrival and in the Reception main entrance window.
